The FDCC Toxic Tort and Environmental Law (TTEL) Section covers both toxic tort work (which predominantly involves some type of exposure to a contaminant that results in personal injury, property or other damages), and environmental matters (which typically encompass some type of impact to air, land or water).  Our TTEL attorney members defend personal injury and other damages claims asserted by people claiming injury allegedly caused by a variety of different purported toxins, including but not limited to asbestos, bacteria, benzene, carbon monoxide, lead (paint and in drinking water), mold, pesticides, radiation and talc. Our environmental lawyers handle a wide variety of matters for clients ranging from federal regulations and statutes (such as RCRA, CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act and TSCA, and USEPA), state and local statutes, ordinances and regulations, and advising clients in the areas of spill prevention, control, and mitigation plans for oil and other hazardous material spills, to performing environmental compliance audits. Our corporate members include in-house counsel, risk managers and insurance carriers for business and industry from across the country. All of our TTEL attorney and corporate members are admitted to the FDCC via peer review and invitation only, so consist of only the top tier of professionals throughout the world.
